Super green pass and FFP2 masks to travel by bus
From January 10th, 2022, it is mandatory to be in possession of a Super Green Pass in order to travel by bus.
According to the latest government regulations, the “Super” Green Pass – issued to fully vaccinated persons or who have recovered from COVID19 – will be required to use public transport. The “Basic” Green Pass will therefore no longer be sufficient. Children under 12 years and people exempt from the vaccination campaign don’t need the Green Pass if they have the medical certification issued according to the criteria established by the Ministry of Health.
In addition to that, it is mandatory to wear a FFP2 face mask onboard, covering both mouth and nose (Legislative Decree n. 221 – December 24th, 2021). Therefore, it is no longer sufficient to wear surgical or other types of masks when travelling by bus.
The mask shall never be removed or lowered for any reason, not even to make a phone call.
Wearing a face mask – also surgical or other approved types – is mandatory also outdoors (L.D. 221/2021). It is therefore required to wear a face mask even while waiting at bus stops.
The percentage of passengers allowed on board shall not exceed 80% of the vehicle capacity. Please, mind the differentiated entry and exit paths.
